Alberta F. Mowery, 93, died May 4, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Montpelier, Ind., the daughter of Elva and Dessie Landis Marker. A resident of Nickerson since 1936, moving to Mennonite Manor in 2002, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to the First Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Senior Citizens Center, both in Nickerson.
On April 14, 1934, she married Delmar Mowery, in Montpelier, Ind. He died March 6, 1972.
Survivors include: a son, Leonard, Lyons; a daughter, Patricia Frye and her husband, Bill, Nickerson; two sisters, Lorene Bush, Buckner, Mo., and Ruth Ogden, Great Bend; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Elmer, Cleo, Lloyd and Ralph Marker; and a sister, Marie Shaw.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Phipps presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
