The children were Elmer Hubert (died at two years old), Albert Fern (Mowery), Eva Marie (Shaw), Cleo Elroy, Lloyd A., Robert Ralph, Ruth (Odgen), and Lorene (Bush).

Dessie Lorence Landes Marker died on 29 Jun 1958 in Barton County, Kansas. She was buried in the Sterling Cemetery on 2 July 1958.

Elva Forest Delma Marker was born on 14 August 1886 in Jay County, Indiana to Daniel Monroe and Mary L. August Haverfield Marker.

There were four siblings in his family. Pearl (Sawyer, Brown), James Thomas Cleo, Earl Carmel, and Augusta Daniel Marker (died as an infant).

Elva married Dessie Lorence Landis on 31 March 1907 (license)and(married 31 December 1907) in Blackford County, Indiana. There were eight known children born of their union. The children were, Elmer Hubert (died at two years old), Albert Fern (Mowery), Eva Marie (Shaw), Cleo Elroy, Lloyd A., Robert Ralph, Ruth (Odgen), and Lorene (Bush).

Elva seemed to follow the oil field from Indiana to Oklahoma and then to Kansas. It was on 29 April 1955 that Elva died in Sterling, Rice County, Kansas and is buried in the Sterling Cemetery.
