Allen was appointed a trustee of the Warsaw cemetery in 1847.
He was elected to the Warsaw Cemetery Association in March 1850 when it became necessary to enlare the 'old burying ground'. The trustees bought and laid out the lot of R. R> Munger, on the west side of the road, opposite the ole burying ground on Main street. The new cemetery was dedicated on the 7th of September, 1850.
