a sloop in 1767. Left 1/3 of a sawmill to son Richard in 1781.

He was one of the owners off the first vessel in Wells, built by his brother Nathaniel in 1755. Richard built a sloop in 1767. He operated a sawmill, leaving 1/3 to his son Richard IV in 1781.
Richard had 11 children, 2 with Catherine Cousens and 9 with Hannah Lord.
