Manor of Hyde and Newton in Cheshire, Shallcross and
Ferneley in Derbyshire, about 1209-1228, and Halghton
and Denton in Lancashire about 1225, in which county he
had also nine oxgangs of land in Heiton. He was living in
the time of Henry III. He married Agnes de Herdislee,
cousin and heiress of Thomas de Norbury, who
quitclaimed to Robert Hyde his right in Norbury, Newton
and half Hyde, and thus Norbury came to the Hydes by
this marriage.
