Vernice was married to Jerry Lee Hart, Sr on 8 AUG 1988 in Minneapolis, Hennepen, MN.. Jerry, Sr was born on 26 JUL 1935 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Il . Vernice J. 'nee Buchanan' Hart, age 74, of Minneapolis passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
She attended Marshall HS, before starting her career, which included time at the Federal Reserve Bank, and Rudolph's Barbeque, where she was VP and controller. After raising her family, she successfully started her own business - VJ Accounting & Tax Service. She loved to travel the world, making it to 6 of the 7 continents; was known for her entertaining, especially her 4th of July & Christmas parties, and was an outstanding cook! She was a loving wife, mother, and mentor to many, and will be dearly missed. She was everybody's new best friend.
Preceded in death by daughter-in-law Rhonda Chiodo, brothers Marvin & Mark, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and former husband, Jerry Chiodo. Survived by her husband of 27 wonderful years; her children, 24 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
