petroleum refining and tire franchise in Lincoln, Illinois. Owned about 100 gas
cos. - at one time operated an 'Edsel' dealership.

Mr. + Mrs. Wm E. Beach, Mrs. H.G. Beach, Miss Jacqueline Beach lived
in Lincoln, Ill. in 1943.
Jacqueline J. BEACH married Rod C. BONNER and they live in
Highland, Ind. (1992).

Walter and Marjorie formally adopted Alice Jo in 1938.

George was a .
Played Saxophone in quartet in New England.
Had a good baritone voice and played tenor sax. He and his brothers and
grand-uncle Jim, had a sax quartet which toured New England when they were
young.

Choir Director for 30 years.

Went to Colby Jr. College, then Amherst for a year. Then went to Portland,
Oregon and worked for Studebaker selling cars. Came back to Chicago
to go to Moody Bible Inst. and Northwestern Theological Seminary.

His first parish was at Cornell, Ill. where Paul Earle KIMBALL was born.
Then he went to Lincoln, Illinois where they were hosted by the 'Beach' family.

After a couple years in Lincoln and a couple in France
with the AEF for the Y in the motor corps., he decided
he wasn't called to the ministry, so he resigned and went to work for
the Chamber of Commerce in Lincoln. Then he moved to Chicago
where he held the top paying job in Kiwanis Intl. (Executive Secretary)

After his wife, May, died in 1933, George moved to Flosmoor, Ill.
