William Spooner was a farmer, lived to the north of the village ofAcushnet. The traditional site of his residence, as pointed out a fewyears since, was marked by the ruins of the foundation of a house. Heserved in the militia with the rank of Lieutenant; was frequently chosento town offices; and, with his wife, was a member of Rochester Church.
