Scots Charitable Society of Boston - the first charitable organization
in the New England States. This proves their Scotch Origin as there were
no other nationalities represented until 1700.
John's gravestone states his age at 74, however in a deposition in 1684 he
stated his age as 28 years, a discrepancy of 1 year.
