!Samuel was a soldier in King Philip's War. He was a turner by trade,but after his return from the war, having been wounded, in 1683, he waslicensed to keep an inn. He married Hannah Lemon June 10, 1668, andlived in Salem, during the latter part of his life on St. Peter street.Administration was granted on his estate Nov 27, 1706; and amongst hisproperty was a Jersey boy servant and an Indian woman slave. Mrs. Beadlesurvived him, and died, his widow, her will, dated March 29, 1729, beingproved July 25, 1736.:
