Amaziah Spooner was raised as a farmer. He remained until he had attainedhis majority with his father, when he went to Hardwick, Massachusetts,where, by the assistance of his father, he purchased a large tract of newland. His farm was located 'on the north side of the turnpike, and thewest side of Muddy Brook'.
