'I have a scrap of paper, an 'order' really, signed by BG Jedediah Huntington and COL Zebulon Butler dated 28 Jan 1783 from West Point, NY. It says, 'Capt Edward Eells of the first Connecticut Regiment is recommended for Leave of Absence until the fifteenth of April next, to visit his family.'
