WorldConnect. I am intereted in the Samuel Dixon whom you say might
belong to this family. I have this week been 'chasing' Samuel:

1852 marries Hannah Franklin Burden in Peoria Co IL

1860 in Peoria Co IL

1870 in Adams Co IL

1880 in Riley Co KS while his wife Hannah F. is (not too far away) in
Jefferson Co NE.

It is their daughter Almeda in whom I am interested. She married James
Wood, an Englishman probably in KS or NE. In 1880 she and James are in
Davis Co KS (which in 1888 became Geary Co KS), in 1886 she married Hugh
McElroy in Gregg Co TX and in 1900 she is in Greene Co AR. Soon
thereafter she died in a mental institution in Pulaski AR.
