My file shows Horace S. Dunshee married Ellen T. Fargo on 2/15/1853 in Ashtabula, OH. I do not have a Fred Dunshee, or any other Dunshee.
I came upon your website regarding the Fargo family while searching for the parentage/lineage of my Great Great Great Grandmother, Ellen Fargo, on my mother's side. She was probably born in the 1820's. She married my G.G.G. Grandfather, Horace Dunshee, and the Fargo name was carried on through his son, Fred Fargo Dunshee, and his son, my Grandfather, Fred Fargo Dunshee. The Dunshee family were rather famous photographers in the New England area for generations. They photographed Mark Twain and Henry David Thoreau, to name a few. We always were told that we were descendants of the family who first began Wells Fargo. Also on my mother's side we descend from John Alden of the Mayflower. Have you any idea whose child Ellen Fargo was? I have a beautiful valentine written to her from someone (not Horace!) which is gorgeous.
