third wife.

came from Lancashire,
one of the incorporators of Lancaster, Massachusetts, 1653. He had four children
whom he left in England with their mother until he had made a home for them in
Lancaster. During King Philip's War 1675-76 two of his sons were killed and after
the massacre by the Indians in the latter year, he, with his wife, son and daughter and
her husband went to Woburn where he passed the brief remainder of his life.
