: Abraham Andersson came to America and went to Colorado to work in a silver mine, possibly Cripple Creek. He died in a mine explosion. According to family accounts, some dynamite caught fire and he threw himself on it, saving the life of another. Other accounts indicate they may have been using the carbide lanterns they wore on their hats to thaw the dynamite.
