S1 The Adams Family
By the 1780's, Absalom and his family have moved to Culpeper County, Virginia, where he is found in the tax list in 1782-1787.
By 1797, Absalom owned 100 acres of first-rate land on David's Fork of Elkhorn Creek. In 1808, he is listed with125 acres. This additional 25 acres probably was the land to which, in 1826, Abner Wilson gave a deed to Absalom's heirs in order to make a clear title (Fayette County Deed Book 2: page 125).
